We’re a Finalist for Restaurant & Casual Dining of the Year 2026
We’re delighted to share that Harbour House has been named a finalist in the Bristol, Bath, Somerset, and Gloucestershire Tourism Awards 2026. Our harbourside restaurant is in the running for Restaurant & Casual Dining of the Year, one of the most competitive categories. Every finalist is guaranteed a Gold, Silver or Bronze award, so the whole team has plenty to celebrate already.
About the Awards
The Bristol, Bath, Somerset, and Gloucestershire Tourism Awards recognise the tourism and hospitality businesses that give visitors a reason to come back to the region. Independent judges assess every entry, and finalists receive detailed feedback once the awards are presented.
The ceremony takes place on 26 November at Batch Country House near Lympsham. That’s when we’ll find out which award we’re bringing home to the Floating Harbour.
What We’re Proud Of
Being shortlisted is a credit to everyone who works here, from the kitchen and bar to the front-of-house team. It also feels like the right moment to look at what makes Harbour House the place it is.
Seafood Delivered Daily
Our menu is led by seafood, delivered fresh every day by Wings of St Mawes in Cornwall. That daily supply lets our chefs cook with the seasons, from mussels to the catch of the day. You can see what’s on now on our seafood restaurant page.
A Sunday Roast Worth the Trip
Sundays at Harbour House belong to the roast, and plenty of our guests plan their weekend around it. We serve it with all the trimmings in a dining room overlooking the water. Find out more about our Sunday roast in Bristol before you book.
A Building with a Story
We’re based in a converted 19th-century transit shed, the last of its kind still standing in the South West. Locals say it was once Brunel’s private boathouse, which suits a venue so close to his harbour. Today, it houses a restaurant, bar, and terrace with room for up to 120 guests.
Drinks on the Waterfront
Our bar team mixes cocktails inspired by the harbour, including our much-loved Brunel’s Coffee Break. We also serve afternoon tea with Bristol Pastry Kitchen from Monday to Saturday. Take a look at our cocktails for something to look forward to on the terrace.
A Word from the Team
“Being named a finalist means a lot to everyone at Harbour House. Our team works hard to give every guest a great meal by the water, and this recognition belongs to them. We can’t wait to celebrate with our guests between now and the ceremony”. – Ben Porter, General Manager
It’s been a proud week for the whole family of venues: The Granary has been commended for the same award, and The Gaffe Comedy Club is also a finalist for New Tourism Business of the Year, alongside The Bristol Comedy Festival.
Celebrate with Us
There’s never been a better time to visit and see what earned us a place in the final. Join us for seafood by the water, a Sunday roast or cocktails on the terrace. If you’re planning a festive get-together, take a look at our Christmas menus and party spaces.
We’ll share the result as soon as the awards are announced on 26 November. Until then, book a table and come and celebrate with us.
